Who are you in this moment?

Coming to the center

Coming to the Center

As we come to the center of the midway point between the Fall Equinox and the Winter Solstice - there is a stillness inviting you to reflect upon your place in the now. Asking you to consider, "Who are you in this very moment?"

Mother Earth: Our Beloved Teacher

The cycles and seasons of Mother Earth guide us to embody our natural rhythm. As the leaves on the trees continue to fall, the air becomes brisk alerting our senses to colder weather on the way. We watch as the remaining leaves fall back to the earth, the trees standing bare and vulnerable exposing the truth of their health and vitality.

A symbolic surrender into revealing the journey that has been walked this far and acceptance of what is yet to come. On the surface it may appear as if this journey is faced alone, yet underneath the ground a network of roots wraps tightly around one another reinforcing a strength that can only be found in working together.

Through the roots nutrients and wisdom are shared amongst the forest, an awareness that the health and wellbeing of the individual is a direct result of the health and wellbeing of the whole.

As we come to the center of the midway point between the Fall Equinox and the Winter Solstice - there is a stillness inviting you to reflect upon your place in the now. Asking you to consider, "Who are you in this very moment?"

Reflecting on the Teachings of the Fall Equinox

The Fall Equinox during Libra Season brought us into the teachings of "A love of the body" reminding us of the importance of the human body, the vessel that houses your spirit. It whispered to trust in your body's wisdom, to trust in the synchronicity that appears when you allow yourself to be moved by the natural forces of the world. A seemingly magical quality that we coin as luck, showing up at just the right place to receive exactly what is needed. This was our dance through the shadow of seriousness and into the gift of serendipity.

In the weeks in-between the teachings of the Fall Equinox to this midpoint of where you now stand, the energy has been focused on your splenic center.

Facing our Primal Fears Related to Survival

Your splenic center is your oldest awareness center, your primal animal instinctual awareness. It is here that our fears related to survival reside and are triggered within as our fight, flight, freeze or fawn tendencies. It is also the home of our deepest intuition.

Your journey over the past 5.5 weeks has taken you to face many fears to see if you are ready to release its hold. Perhaps you will recognize some of these as you reflect back on what was unfolding for you:

  • A Fear of Authority, judgement and flaws.

  • A Fear of Inadequacy, of not being or knowing enough.

  • A Fear of the Future, holding yourself back because of uncertainty / unease.

  • A Fear of Failure, holding yourself back from doing what you truly want to do, due to a limited self belief.

  • A Fear of Responsibility. Often taking on the responsibility of what's not yours to claim or feeling afraid to correct what is ultimately your responsibility to correct.

  • A Fear of Death / Purpose. Not taking risks because of the fear. Feeling like life has no purpose or that you are in a constant struggle.

  • A Fear of the Past. Afraid that what transpired in the past will repeat itself again and so you stay where you are comfortable. Where you can more easily predict an outcome.

It has not been an easy journey moving through our collective fears and feeling the energy stimulating your own patterns and reactions, but perhaps you are also aware that as things were surfacing, they were also releasing some of its hold, depending on where you are in your journey of self awareness.

Embodying the Gifts through Facing One’s Fears

During this seasonal cycle and its teachings, you may have also noticed a heightened sense of integrity within yourself. Choosing to do the right things for the right reasons. Perhaps becoming more resourceful and noticing that there are many ways to do things. Noticing your growth, what life has taught you, and showing you the version of yourself that arrived at the other end of what perhaps you first thought you wouldn’t be able to get through.

You may be noticing an increase to your intuition. The way your body responds and communicates. Perhaps you have been leaning in to listen deeper and honor what is surfacing as you were encouraged to come to the center. To find your balance and release what is not yours to carry. Becoming aware of where you tend to give in or comply to another's whims or the saboteur within yourself and now looking back to say, "I see you. I am aware that you are there and will be more mindful of your presence going forward." It is only when we see our habitual patterns that we can then move into intercepting its pathway and step onto the path of our truth.

This is the journey that now brings you here to the center. Back to your place in the now. Back to noticing what are you still holding onto that you are ready to release?

Entering the Midpoint and its Offerings

There is a warm fire beckoning you to come sit at this midpoint. A fire that is offering you a fresh start, a new beginning, an opportunity for you to remember who you truly are. As you take the time to see you, to truly see you, you may glance towards the horizon to notice that the journey from the midpoint to the Winter Solstice offers the gifts of insight, competence, strength, determination, patience, artfulness and idealism – bringing you deeper into harmony. A harmony felt within.

When you arrive at the Winter Solstice, you arrive at the Love of the Self. The beauty of who you truly are when all conditioning and false beliefs have been removed. Mother Earth shows us this through the bareness of winter, the pull deeply inwards into self-reflection, raw vulnerable truth, and deep compassion.

May we all remember the sacredness of life, the gift of living, and embrace the lessons and opportunities towards our ascension.

Namaste,

Lisa Richard
